Why, Hello World!
This is a my humble little web page. I am a 31 years old developer who works in a small IT company
Lydia in Trondheim, Norway. The domain field of my IT company is
Computer Aided Facility Management (CAFM).
As a developer, my task is usually doing the implementation. I enjoy learning technologies and doing varied
work. Some weeks I enjoy learning new APIs or utilize new third-party products, other weeks I enjoy delving
into the details of a specific area of technology. Of course, working with CAFM products means most
work is into application development. I currently work with three platforms, desktop PC, the web and mobile
web pages (WAP).
There are a multitude of technologies I work with, at LYDIA I work with these
- The data level. I work with databases and related frameworks such as Oracle, OleDb and ADO.NET.
- The service level. At my company we utilize Windows Communications Framework (WCF) as the middleware (in-between) layer.
- The client level. We code proxy classes for the client as a gate for the GUI to access. All layers are coded in C#.
- The GUI level. We utilize Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) for the desktop.
- The GUI level - web. We utilize ASP.NET, Ajax and Silverlight (WPF/e) for the web.
- The GUI level - cell phone. We utilize ASP.NET Mobile Web Forms for the cell phone products (WAP).

30th of May 2009. Today I was walking to the top of Oftenaasen Hill, which is the highest point in the immediate
vicinity of Steinkjer. The hill is 332 metres above the sea level. The weather was perfect, sunny and no clouds.
The temperature was 25 plus degrees centigrade (Celsius).
